Talk to the Hand by Lynne TrussI really have mixed feelings about this book. I thought a lot of it was funny and interesting, but I have to agree with Elizabeth from As Usual, I Need More Bookshelves. It got whiny.
I did enjoy reading about the 6 possible reactions to not receiving a "thank you" after holding the door open for somebody else. They are something like this: 1. exasperation 2. dismay 3. righteous indignation 4. obliterated 5. frightened 6. hate
I also enjoyed reading that we are given way too many choices these days. Not everything can be summed up in the choices given, and not everything needs to have ten choices for us to decide between.
I really don't feel that I learned anything new from the book, but there were parts I definitely enjoyed reading. Next time I don't receive a "thank you" after holding open a door, I will probably laugh as a result of reading this book. I think it was worth the time spent reading it.
